Rumple

Rumple isn't particularly motivated to go for his daily walk, though can be persuaded. He is a calm and patient dog who enjoys spending time with people. Whether it's cuddling or lying next to your desk while you work but some daily walking is very important so you will have to be insistent. He knows 'sit', 'down', 'paw' and if you are struggling in any way at all he will be sure to let you know where a treat is hidden. In his foster home, Rumple has proven to be house-trained and can be left alone without issue. He doesn't usually jump on beds or furniture, preferring his own designated spaces. No resource guarding issues. Gets on smoothly with public transport, and travelling in the car. According to a trainer’s evaluation, Rumple, raised as a protection dog without socialization, is leash-reactive because he feels he must protect his human. He wears a muzzle comfortably and shows curiosity toward puppies, suggesting progress is possible with kind, professional guidance. For now, a calm home, ideally with a garden and few dog encounters, is best. Adopters should be comfortable handling his reactivity and strength.
