Naia
Naia was rescued in September 2023 after nipping a teenager during a ball game. The parents filed a police report, resulting in her seizure as she was owned by a minor. Currently in foster care, she shares a home with an older dog and gets along well despite her youthful energy occasionally tiring him. Affectionate to the point of exuberance with humans, she also exhibits strong watchdog instincts. Her foster family notes steady improvement in social behaviors and adaptability.
Naia is a high-energy, extremely affectionate young dog needing ongoing training. She enjoys playing with other dogs but can overstimulate her older housemate through persistent playfulness. While she chases cats non-aggressively (mimicking her canine roommate), she shows no destructive behavior. Occasional housebreaking accidents occur but are infrequent. Her enthusiastic greetings may overwhelm visitors, highlighting the need for continued obedience practice and socialization.
