Story
Effi was abandoned a few years ago, no particular reason was mentioned in her file. She lived for several years in a small kennel and slept on a plank a few meters from her excrements, with no outings outside her cage. She was then taken out of this place, placed in a foster home, where she now waits for a family for life.
Behavior
Effi is a 5-year-old female, currently in a foster home in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She weighs 50 kg and measures 73 cm. She is a large dog, but above all a gentle, calm, and very affectionate dog. She gets along with dogs, cats, and children. She is house-trained, currently lives in an apartment, and can stay alone for several hours without issue. Indoors, she is calm and quite cozy. Effi enjoys cuddles, belly rubs, treats, and playtime. She appreciates the company of other dogs, with whom she is sociable and balanced. She is also gentle with humans and patient with children. During walks, she walks gently on a leash and enjoys sniffing her surroundings calmly. She can suit a family, a single person, or anyone looking for a calm, affectionate, and easy-to-live companion. Her only real “fault”: her large size. Otherwise, Effi is an adorable, composed, loyal, and tender dog. Repatriation possible to France and Belgium. Other destinations upon request.
Medical status
Effi was rescued from the city’s public pound and underwent surgery for a non-metastasized mammary tumor. She bears no sequelae from this operation except for a scar under her belly. She was also mutilated at the tail and one ear. Effi has fully recovered from her mammary tumor surgery and bears no sequelae. However, a radiographic examination revealed spondylosis between T13 and L4. She currently appears to be in good health, but as a large breed, she may require occasional pain relief during aging and especially supplements for osteoarthritis, as with any large dog.
