About
Story
Titzia was born on a farm of an elderly man, with her sisters Rica and Litza. When the latter fell ill, his son came once a week to check on the dogs. They were left to themselves, with no possibility of finding food elsewhere. The neighbors sometimes threw food over the fence. They asked us to sterilize the mother, and we took in Titzia, her two sisters, and other two-month-old puppies from a more recent litter from the same farm. Titzia spent the first part of her life in a group of dogs on this farm, with little human contact, before arriving at our place as a foster family.
Behavior
Titzia measures 43 cm and weighs 15 kg. She is a sensitive and very affectionate dog, who can be shy and wary at first, especially in new situations or with strangers. She needs time to acclimate and trust, but then reveals an exceptionally affectionate, gentle, and cuddly nature. She reacts cautiously and apprehensively to strangers and tends to withdraw or flee rather than make contact, even if she is curious. If she feels threatened or scared, she tries to escape or freezes completely. She simply needs time, understanding, and sometimes several meetings before trusting. Once she gets to know someone better, she no longer leaves them, seeks their closeness, enjoys lying near them, cuddles a lot, and kisses them. She just wants to be where her humans are, without being intrusive. She loves sleeping with her humans or lounging on the sofa beside them. Never demanding, she always respects the house rules. Indoors, Titzia is very calm, balanced, and pleasant. She quickly adapted to apartment life and learned the house rules. At night, she sleeps deeply without waking anyone. In the morning, she patiently waits for her humans to get up. With other dogs, Titzia is sociable, friendly, and playful. Outside, she can be a little shy at first, especially with very boisterous dogs, but once she gets to know a dog, she enjoys playing and interacting positively. If the other dog is too insistent, she simply withdraws. With dogs she knows, she is playful and very gentle. Having another dog would be a plus for Titzia, as a companion would provide her security both indoors and outdoors and help her overcome her apprehensions more quickly. Titzia gets along exceptionally well with cats. She loves them and plays gently with them. She is currently living with another quite mischievous cat, but Titzia handles the situation wonderfully. We think that a house with a garden, in a residential neighborhood, would be ideal. A quiet neighborhood where she could gradually explore the surroundings would be perfect for Titzia. She does not need intensive exercise. Titzia is a very gentle, affectionate, and loyal dog who needs time, patience, and understanding to fully blossom. Once she trusts you, she is an incredibly affectionate, calm, and loyal companion who wants to be very close to her owners.
