Story
Scarlett was abandoned 6 years ago; no specific reason was mentioned in her file. She has been living in a small box for six years and sleeping on a plank a few meters from her excrements, without any outdoor access outside her cage.
Behavior
Scarlett measures approximately 55 cm. She has spent almost her entire life behind bars. Gentle and shy, she arrived at the shelter when she was still young and has known nothing else for over six years. No grass under her paws, no family of her own, just the cold routine of the shelter. Although shy and cautious, she is gentle and calm. During my last visit, she avoided physical contact but allowed herself to be gently petted. She does not defend herself; she simply does not yet believe in the kindness of the world. Her body language reveals more stress than fear, a stress that could ease in good hands. Her black and white coat is as remarkable as her name, and she exudes a quietly radiant presence. We are convinced she just needs time, patience, and love.
